Auditions for Reader’s Theater playwright competition winner- Skull for a Skull by Lucas Patrick Miller are Sunday, Feb 26th at 2:00 PM-5:00 PM. (This performance is a table reading only, no memorization needed)
A mostly-true legend has it that Prescott Bush, father of George H.W. Bush, grandfather of George W. Bush, stole Geronimo’s skull to keep in the clubhouse of the Yale secret society, Skull and Bones. Despite repeated lawsuits the skull is never going to be returned, so a group of Native American friends go on a road trip to steal Prescott Bush’s skull for ransom and retribution. Skull for a Skull is a theatrical exploration of racial double standards, the moral and practical consequences of violent protest, and the story of one hell of a road trip. Be warned: “When you change the world, the world changes you back.”
