The Story: It's 1934, and the Cleveland Grand Opera Company is ready to welcome a world-class soprano for her one-night-only starring role in Carmen. Alas, she arrives late, her husband has a fit of jealousy, and it remains to be seen whether a mousy but determined manager's assistant can save the day.
